It’s official.

I have a published book listed on Amazon!

I check it out almost everyday because it still feels a little surreal. But, yes indeed it is true.

Check it out for yourself HERE.

Make small changes to your lifestyle. These changes will have a big impact on your daily life.

Make small changes to your lifestyle. These changes will have a big impact on your daily life.

And there are actually a few reviews as well :)

Well to say that I learned a few things during this process is an understatement, but here are three of the lessons I learned:

Just Do It is NOT Just a Slogan for NIKE
There is NEVER a perfect time to do anything worthwhile in life.
There is power in taking action and just going for it.
The world is filled with people that say that “someday” they will (fill in the blanks) and never take action.
If I waited for the “perfect” time, the first page would never have been written, let alone the book being finished.
There is power in starting, today.

It will NEVER be Perfect
I’ve come to the realization that my book will never be perfect.
Yes, I should have used a comma and not a period on page 74.
Yes, the cover could have been better.
Yes, I could have done many things differently.
But I didn’t.
I did it my way, and I finished it!
Life is not perfect, and living with diabetes is anything but perfect, so it’s seems appropriate that my book is not “perfect”.

Life is Sweet when it is Shared with Friends
I remember a few years back when I made a big presentation in New York City.
Before the prezie I was nervous, you know it’s the Big Apple and all :)
The prezie went exceptionally well.
I was thrilled and ready to celebrate.
One problem, I had nobody to celebrate with.
My wife and friends were all back in Canada.
The feeling of excitement quickly faded as I sipped my beer alone at the end of the bar.
Life is so much better when shared with loved ones.

This book would not have been possible without the amazing support of my dream team.  The book launch was a very special night, for one reason, I was surrounded by friends.  You can read all about that special night in a previous blog.

Life is indeed sweet when shared with friends!
