Earlier this week, we talked about the importance of your money mindset in going from breaking even to breaking through. I shared some suggestions on developing a clear vision plus managing your most precious resources – your creativity, time & energy.
Have you thought about the opportunities all around you that will bring in additional income? Did you pick just 1 thing to focus on & have you taken action?
It’s important that we have a vision, we have goals and that we create a plan with strategies and ways to reach our goals so we can make our vision a reality. What I’ve noticed with many creative entrepreneurs and business owners – myself included, is that we often get stuck. We love to dream of our future business, we enjoy working on that vision. Many of us even enjoy the planning – transforming our vision & thoughts into plans, lists, things to do. But we can get stuck here; we’re caught up in the vision and the planning and not the doing.
It’s important to keep your plans as simple as possible so that you’ll take action right away. So what does your plan look like for next week? Next month? Next quarter? The rest of the year? If it looks overly complex & complicated, rather than straightforward & a bit of a stretch or challenge, go back and make some adjustments. Keep it simple, doable & take action now.
When I find myself stuck here, I think about something I read in “The Greatest Secret in the World”. I’d like to share it with you now:
“My dreams are worthless, my plans are dust, my goals are impossible. All are of no value unless they are followed by action.
“I will act now.
“Never has there been a map, however carefully executed to detail & scale, which carried its owner over even one inch of ground. Action, alone, is the tinder which ignites the map.”
In other words, your map, your vision, your plan – no matter how detailed – won’t take you where you want to go unless you take action. So what does your plan look like, and what can you take action on right now?
Okay, now that you know that, I’ll end this post so you can take that action. It’s time to act now.
