Ready to get the more out of your marketing efforts?   Who wouldn’t these days, especially with prices out of control and it being harder and harder for people to part with their hard-earned money? One way to do that is to have a plan and do more with all your marketing efforts. Let’s show you how it’s done with an article marketing campaign. Say you write a how-to article on your niche (which we highly recommend). Take these steps to get even more results.

Top tips to get more out of your article marketing campaigns:

  1. The first thing you need to do is add that article to your blog and/or newsletter (after doing the appropriate SEO of course).  Be sure to include your keywords in the title of the blog posting and throughout the article.  We recommend doing a series of blog postings with the same keywords to gain even more recognition.
  2. Then send your article out to the top quality article submission sites – you know the ones, those with page rankings of 4 and above (such as ezinearticles, articlebase, ideamarketers, Go articles, etc.)
  3. Then do some quick research to find the places to submit your article that are industry specific to your article. Let’s say your article is on speaking advice – research on Google the keywords speaker articles or articles for speakers.  Find the places that accept articles and submit to those.  Now while you are at it, make sure you look for other opportunities here as well.  Do they offer blogging opportunities; are they looking for speakers, etc.?
  4. Next create three tweets from that article and add it to your social media efforts.  Don’t forget to add in appropriate hashtags to get the best results on Twitter and Facebook too. (For example, #PRTip, #Speaker).
  5. Now take it a step further and do a little website analysis and determine what keywords brought the most people to your site.  Here you can tell if the keywords you used for the article had impact.  We definitely hope it did!  You also want to see what keywords you can use for future articles too.
  6. Once you find those keywords consider a Google Adword campaign (adding a few others of course, with a terrific ad).  What can be great is to have an article appear on the front page of Google and then when they look over they see your ad as well.  It can drive home that fact that you are serious about your business.
  7. As a bonus, create a video of your article and add it to your YouTube channel (here’s an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDGCc09UOZE)

Who would have thought you could have done so much with one article?  But I forgot to mention the most important part of this marketing is to rinse and repeat the process again and again. That’s truly when the magic happens, when you consistently do these things over and over again.  And keep in mind, you don’t have to do it alone. There are great professionals out there willing to help you achieve success.   Good luck and get marketing!
